Ghanoujet bayya- غنوجة بيا
Review by: Chirine Yamout
The short:
A show about the life of a spoiled daddy’s girl, who overnight loses her wealth and slowly starts learning how to live by taking responsibility for the first time of her life.
The long:
A comedic Lebanese show, tells the story of Rana, a spoiled rich girl, who must adapt to her new life in poverty after her father loses all his money in the stock market. Each episode showcases Rana attempting to work a new job, whether it’s as a server, a singer or even a shepherd. After following Rana along her journey to adapt to her new life, the ending is made into a movie which covers her development and growth, alongside her vibrant self as she tries to sabotage the marriage of the guy that she’s not in love with. This is a classical series that almost all 90s and 00s Lebanese kids know and cherish dearly.
To watch or not to watch:
A definite watch! Funny is not enough to describe this series.
