Jaafar al Ghazal is one of the most popular modern artists in Iraq, who has produced some of the country’s greatest hits in recent memory. In addition to singing, he is a composer and songwriter.

The long: 

Jaafar al Ghazal’s music is representative of contemporary Iraq, with distinctly Iraqi rhythms defining many songs. The genres vary, as some songs are more romantic in nature, others are essentially party songs, and several are militaristic, hyping up Iraq’s Armed Forces in their battle against ISIS. His most popular songs are Daha Bia and Maksrtak.
