Ne Farkeder by Yüzyüzeyken Konuşuruz

Review by Emma Schneck

The short:

This song is a Turkish language song by a popular Turkish alt-rock group, Yüzyüzeyken Konuşuruz.

The long:

This Turkish song is a catchy rock song talking about love, loss, and the larger questions of life. In the title “Ne Farkeder”, the band asks, “What difference does it make?” when looking back on his past mistakes.

Lyricist Kaan Boşnak sings “I woke up one morning and you weren't there, I looked for you, but you weren't there”. He sings of a long-lost love and a sense of yearning for a time and situation passed. While the lyrics paint a somber situation of heartbreak, the melody has more cheerful synth vibes and a catchy chorus.

To listen or not to listen:

Listen listen listen! This song has a great vibe and sound. It’s also a great introduction to the Turkish indie-rock scene.
