Siyah Beyaz Aşk (Black and White Love)

Review by: Ana Campusano

The short:

When forced decisions meet love. Siyah Beyaz Aşk is a drama filled with intensity and mystifying affairs that attribute its name by equaling love and darkness.

The long:

Ferhat is known as a dangerous crook that lacks patience for simple things like love and caring. Asli, ironically a heart surgeon, enters this world of tough love and drama uncalled for. She saved Ferhat’s after a confrontation that almost took his life and so he marries her. Contrary to his heartless behavior, Ferhat seems to care too much, whether it is for his pregnant sister or vulnerable brother, he is always on the go to save them from kidnappings and attacks. His beloved Asli goes through intense hardships to get him to demonstrate the overwhelming love he feels for her. Although he never really says much, his actions speak to the inordinate protection he always gave Asli. The unfairness they face comes from his own home, however, his family, his creators. How does one escape crooked behavior or abhorrent feelings when you live in the home of the enemy? Asli must prove herself to the family, protect her disengaged lover from himself and remain alert over her life becoming collateral damage.

To watch or not to watch:

If you enjoy hopelessly romantic unions filled with mystery and action, this is a must for you. Namely, the black and white love reveals itself long-term in an intriguing way. It is an absolute heart teaser that is pleasing in nature.
