The Arab World Beyond Conflict

The Arab World Beyond Conflict.png

Review by Andreanna Mond

The Short: A collection of research essays presented by the Arab Center Washington DC. It tackles three topics that are very important in building sustainable and lasting peace in the region.

The Long: Told from an academic essayist who specialize in Arab culture and history, this publication delves into the root causes of conflicts, state-building, and inclusive citizenship. The collection recognizes the reality of many Arab countries, but aspires to a place beyond the conflicts, turmoil, and insecurity.

To Read or not to Read: Read. This collection provides insight on topics not usually discussed in relation to the Arab world or identity. It covers topics, such as identity politics, Islam and polarizing politics, collaborative regional growth, and the Pillared Arab State, to name a few.
