ALGERIA
Algeria is Africa’s largest country and is about four times the size of France and three and a half times the size of Texas with a population of over 44 million people. Situated in northwest Africa, Algeria is a focal point between the Mediterranean Sea and Africa. It is home to a conglomerate of cultures, languages, and a multifaceted history. From mountain ranges, coastal vistas, Saharan dunes, and buzzing cities, Algeria is a hub of geographical, historical, and cultural intricacies. Algeria’s official languages are Modern Standard Arabic and Tamazight, although the country is far from limited to these two languages alone.
