MOROCCO
In the capital of Rabat, King Mohamed VI governs Morocco, officially named the Kingdom of Morocco. The area of the Kingdom has been inhabited since the Paleolithic times. With a strategic location, geographically connecting Europe, Africa, and the Middle East, Morocco remains an influential force bridging together the regions’ various cultures and people. Due to its proximity to Europe, it is a known transit destination for Sub-Saharan asylum seekers and migrants en route to Europe through southern Spain. The 2014 Moroccan regularization plan legalized the status of several migrants while granting them equal access to education, health care, and employment opportunities.
