UNITED ARAB EMIRATES
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is a wealthy petrostate in the MENA/SWANA region. It borders Oman, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar while sitting prominently on the Persian Gulf. It is an absolute monarchy consisting of seven Emirates. It is considered the Cultural Capital of the Arab World with its stunning architecture, fashion, and museums. Furthermore, its capital city, Abu Dhabi, and the major trade and business city, Dubai, are architectural marvels in their own right. The UAE is a member of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). Its estimated 2020 population is 9.89 million.
