YEMEN
Formerly known as the Yemen Arab Republic (North Yemen) and the People’s Democratic Republic of Yemen (South Yemen), the two states united on May, 22nd 1990, to form the Republic of Yemen. Located on the southwest corner of the Arabian Peninsula, Yemen as a civilization has been around for many centuries. The name “Yemen” is of ancient origin, which originates from the time of the Prophet Mohammed. The country is enduring a five year conflict between the Houthi Rebels and the government of Yemen, which has further crippled Yemen’s already weak economy and caused one of the world's worst humanitarian crises.
