Majida El Roumi was born in the town of "Kfar Chima" in Lebanon. And she is the daughter of a musical family, her first lyrical recording was a Roman Catholic church chant entitled "Your Birthday". She has received many awards and honors, the most important of which are:
The National Shield of the Cedars, Knight Rank from the Presidency of the Lebanese Republic in 1994.
